Routes

Field routes

A field route is the sequence of stops a technician runs. Front Desk books the inspection onto that route and keeps the stop current when the customer changes the visit.

The next open window

Sales offers a time that fits the route, not a time the office has to repair later. The booked inspection is a stop on the day, not a note left in a call log.

When the day changes

A reschedule, a service-day question, or a cancellation comes back through CSR. The visit on the route updates with the customer, so the technician is not driving to an empty house.

Inside the workspace

Phone numbers, customers, and routes stay in that company's workspace. The front desk does not keep a second schedule beside the one the technicians already run.

Questions

Common questions

Does Front Desk replace the routing the technicians already use?
No. It books and updates the visit on the route the company already runs. The technician's day stays the source of the stop.
What is a field route here?
The sequence of stops a technician runs. Front Desk puts the booked inspection on that route and keeps it current when the customer changes the visit.
Can CSR change a stop after it is booked?
Yes. A reschedule or cancellation goes through the CSR desk so the route and the customer stay in sync.
